Kibbutz Gevat, in Jazreel valley, is known in the history of the Hagana for the national officers course, which took place, for the first time, in its new format, in October 1934 in the kibbutz. In the end of the 1930's continual courses were conducted in the kibbutz as well, all elementary courses for senior command.
