Tirat Tzvi is a religious kibbutz of Hapoel Hamizrachi in Bet Shean valley, 3 kilometers from the city Bet Shean. It was founded in 1937, as a Stockade and Watchtower settlement by immigrants, members of Hapoel Hamizrachi.
The kibbutz suffered Arab attacks during the 1936-39 riots and in the War of Independence a difficult battle with Qawuqji's Arab Liberation Army was fought there.
