Tel Chanan (Ballad A-Sheikh)
Tel Chanan, a neighborhood in the settlement Nesher in Zebulon valley, was, before its occupation in the War of Independence, an especially hostile Arab village named Ballad A-Sheikh. During the riots in June 1939, the first counteraction of Hagana's Special Actions Unit had taken place in the village. Eight years later, in December 1947, two Hagana's companies raided the village in yet another hard counteraction.
