House of the national institutes in Jerusalem was the location of the Hebrew Yishuv's institutes in the country. This is where the state- underway had been managed. In the complex, secretly, were also two big caches of weapons (Slikim). In the beginning of March 1948 a car bomb exploded there, killing 13 people and wounding over a hundred.
