Mikve Israel is an agricultural school southeast of Tel Aviv, on the side of the road between Holon junction and Hashivah junction. It is considered the first agricultural school in the country, and in fact the first agricultural settlement. Mikve Israel played an important part in the advancement of Jewish agriculture, settlement, immigration and education, and was also an important training and education base for the Hagana.
