Kibbutz Na'an, not far from Rehovot was one of the most involved kibbutzim in Hagana's activities. A substantial portion of the diverse activity in it was confidential, even to other members of the kibbutz. In essence it was an underground institute for casting grenades and bombs, which operated in the kibbutz within the IMI of the Hagana (1936-1948), and large Slikim (weapon caches) of illegal weapon.
